FOODBIOMES is travelling to Kefalonia on 2 June 2023 to deliver a live Info Day to inform scientists and professionals, mainly from the Region of Ionian Islands, on the recent activities of FOODBIOMES both in science and services.

This fourth Info Day entitled Sustainable Food Systems: Back to the Future has been organized by our Partner Leader, N. Kopsachelis and his team from the Ionian University and will focus on novel approaches related to the development and the establishment of sustainable food systems.

Invited speakers from both academic and industrial sectors will deliver presentations on issues that address emerging technologies to develop novel, functional and sustainable food products, emphasizing on the utilization of biodiversity and microbiome applications. The ultimate target encompasses the provision of resilient and sustainable food systems in line with the European Green Deal and Circular Bioeconomy strategy.

The info day will be held on 2 June 2023, from 9:00 to 15:00, at the Department of Food Science and Technology (Conference auditorium “G. Arsenis”). The info day aims to engage with undergraduate and postgraduate students trained in fields similar to Food Science and Human Nutrition, but also entrepreneurs and citizens that wish to be informed.
