Our researchers at FFC International Conference!

FOODBIOMES participated at the 30 FFC International Conference that was held at Myrina, Lemnos, Greece on 23-25 September 2022.

Pre-clinical data of new strains, natural extracts as food preservatives, wine-making with immobilized kefir cultures, functional food ingredients for Type-1 diabetes and the exploitation of hempseed for product development were the main research projects presented by our researchers.

During the International Conference, awards were given to our researchers at the following categories:

🏅 Best Session Moderators:

Session 3: Mediterranean Diet for the Management of Chronic Diseases Session Chairs: Dr. Vassilios Moussis, Dr. Olga Papagianni.

🏅 Best Oral Presentation:

Hempseed biorefinery: a perspective towards the development of food products in the bioeconomy era delivered by Aikaterini Natsia.
