Information – Clarifications:

In the infrastructure of the University of Ioannina you will find specialized staff as well as all the necessary equipment with the consumables you will need for DNA extraction, amplification of selected regions by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and purification so that they are ready for identification with the DNA sequencing technique. You can use existing methodologies used in the lab or one of your own. All the necessary supplies will be available for you to complete the process. If a specific genome region is requested for amplification, for which the laboratory does not have a primer set, it should be provided by you. This service can be combined with the sequencing data analysis service for the purpose of identification (DNA Sequencing – Identification) provided by the infrastructure. You will be able to process up to three (3) different matrices (species), from which you will receive the purified isolated DNA, ready for identification by sequencing.
